Introduction
What can you find in here ?
The main purpose of this website is to inform patients about the operation of our service and about the most common disorders and operations.
What does the neurosurgeon do ?
The neurosurgeon provides the surgical treatment of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system as well as the envelopes of relevant structures. In concrete terms, this means disorders of the brain, the spinal cord, the peripheral nerves, but also of the vertebral column.
Because neck and back problems are very common, this is undoubtedly also the main part of our activity. In concrete terms, this means that we will first investigate patients with neck or back complaints in detail in order to identify the cause of the complaints and then give advice on whether or not an operative procedure is the best solution. If the treatment is best continued without surgery, we will send the patient to the most assigned colleague for this.
